Glossary feature in Rise

Jun 02, 2021

I've requested a glossary feature (twice now with some votes on requests from others). When I say 'glossary feature', I mean hover over a word or acronym to get the meaning or full word. I work with SO MANY acronyms and technical terms it's a real pain for me and I know this is the same for many others.

Any creative ideas to get around this? I'm thinking of creating a downloadable PDF but this is not always great for mobile devices or if you don't have 2 screens. Any ideas?

Hey Magda! Thanks for the great feedback. The best example I've seen was someone used a Timeline Block in Rise 360 to be their glossary, and put it at the end of the course, and provided some instruction at the beginning of the lesson that while technical terms would be defined initially, the user could always find them in the Glossary (timeline block) at the end. Glossary-included terms were then always a different color throughout the course. I hope that gives you some ideas to get started!
