Which bit are you referring to when you talk about the outline ?
If you are referring to the menu, or sidebar, that appears down the left hand side when you start your course, this can be set to be closed at the start (in which case the user can open it if needed) or it can be completely disabled from the Navigation tab in the Course Settings.
If you are referring to something else, can you please provide more information to assist in solving your problem.
Ned - thanks for your reply. To clarify my question: under the Start Course button, all the lessons and sections are listed on the cover page. That is what I'd like to hide. I know how to hide the sidebar.
I had a feeling that was the section you were after and unfortunately it is all bad news as I don't believe that there is any way to get rid of this as it is part of the in-built format in Rise.
The best I can offer is that if you edit the labels under Settings, you can at least remove the word DETAILS, but you will still be left with the down arrow and all the content further down the page, which doesn't really achieve a great deal.
Hi Ned - thanks for your help with my question about hiding the outline.
Did you see Allison's reply about the way to hide the outline is to select
"hide the sidebar' in settings?
Thanks for the info. I've now learnt more as a result. It's living proof that the best way to get to know the full capabilities of the software is to get involved with the Community site. There's always something new out there to add to your knowledge-base. :)

Hi Carolyn,
If you hide the sidebar, it will also get rid of the lessons and sections below the start button. :)
Please let me know if I can help with anything else!

Hi Carolyn,
Always happy to try to help and now, thanks to Allison, I have also learnt something new myself.
You're welcome! :)
