Hiding the front page menu in Rise

May 08, 2018

Hi. I read the article about hiding the navigation menu in Rise, but I am wondering if it is possible to hide the menu on the front page, but still leave the navigation as free once they enter the course? I would ideally like to have the sidebar menu open when they enter, I just don't want the user to see the list when they arrive on the front page of the course.

Good news, everyone! We've just released a new feature that allows you to turn off the cover page when you publish for LMS to improve compatibility, streamline training, and get learners into content faster. Give it a try, and let us know if you have any questions about it!

Note: You can't hide the cover page for training created from Next Big Idea Club content templates.

This is my work-around:  On the starting page, I'll write a short description of the course, then a separate line that says, "Now, click on the "ENTER HERE" button above to begin."  Then enter a bunch of empty lines (enter, enter, enter, enter . . . . ) to push the page index far enough down that it is no longer visible without scrolling.  Yes, it's technically still there and can be seen by scrolling, but most, if not all, will proceed to "ENTER HERE" as instructed, with no other visible option to proceed.

Hi everyone!

We're excited to share a new way to deliver bite-sized training focused on a single objective... Microlearning!

Microlearning gets your learners into the content faster without a course outline or description, or full course navigation features. You can get started from our new microlearning templates, use any of our business lesson content, or create one from scratch.

Let us know what you think!
