How to package micro learning courses for LMS

Jan 22, 2018

Hi,

Realising that most people prefer micro learning courses, we have been redeveloping our courses using Rise which seems the perfect choice for small bite-sized courses. However we want approx 10 of these short courses to make up a bigger course, so we need a  way to package them together into one file for the LMS. I know they can be uploaded to the LMS separately but this means exporting all paths separately.

Are there any other options I am missing?

Thanks,

Julie.

Hi Julie,

This is one of the great benefits of Rise - to use it as a learning environment to organize different learning components.

If you created the 10 modules in Rise and you want to incorporate them all into a single Rise module, you could do that. Copy the sections under each into one Rise module and then create subheadings to organize the content.  On the main page, next to the edit content button for each section within rise, there are three ellipses... if you click on them a menu appears that has an option for copying the content to another course. Do this for each section of the 10 Rise courses to input the content into a single Rise course.

Then, in the consolidated Rise course, create subsection title headings for each of the 10 submodules by using Shift + Enter when you create a lesson title on the main page.

Hope this helps. Jen
