Importing Rise content into a LMS

Sep 05, 2017

A client of mine is developing courses  in Rise and asked the question whether scroll-able content will display in full screen (versus small Moodle window) when importing the course into a LMS.

Would appreciate any feedback on limitations of importing Rise specific content styles into a LMS. We are yet to pick a LMS but want to know if any of the popular LMS systems out there will reject this kind of format from Rise.

Hello Sri and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)

Great question!

We typically advise to test content via SCORM Cloud as this is an industry standard. It is helpful for  understanding if an issue lies within the software or the LMS itself.

Curious if you experience the same issue in that environment and if so, we would want to take a look for sure!

Hi there, Gareth. First you'll want to export your course for LMS. This will give you a zipped package that you can upload to Moodle.

In our test environment of Moodle, we add new courses by going to Site AdministrationManage courses and categories. It may be slightly different for you if you aren't using the same Moodle setup.

Here's some Moodle documentation to help with adding SCORM packages to your course!
