Language selection page
Apr 20, 2020
Hi, I do have Rise course translated to 13 different languages. How to let the end user to select the language required? What would be the best way to display it and let the LMS (LearnCenter by Oracle) record/recognise it accordingly?
Currently we have introduced a “language selector page” where different language versions are linked and displayed as icons you can select from.
The folder structure on the FTP server: start.htm = “language selector page” in a root folder, languages sits under separate folders where scorm packages are.
It works…but if I (as an end user) decide to play eg. Spanish, it won’t let me play again in any other language later. It feels that that bookmark stays on the initially selected language version.
Thank you for your suggestions.
Stay safe!

Hello, Michael!
Did you publish each of the 13 languages as standalone courses? Or are all 13 languages stored within one Rise 360 course?
Hi Alyssa, thank you for looking at this.
All 13 languages are exact copies of an original English one. There is no one course with all languages in it. They all are kept separately in its unique folders (see attached).
Start.htm brings them all together.
Any more thoughts?
Thank you.
Thanks, Michael. Since you published each course separately, you'll want to configure your hosting site to direct your learners to the correct language.
I'll open the floor for the community to share their ideas with you!
