Learners will have the ability to complete all lessons in a Rise course at their own pace -- there isn't a feature to lock/unlock the lessons manually.
If you're concerned about learners completing the content too quickly and not absorbing it, try these tips:
Use Restricted navigation to prevent the learner from skipping to the end of the course.
Use Continue Blocks to progressively reveal content in Blocks lessons.
Add occasional Knowledge Check questions to facilitate lean-in moments of self-reflection.
We have learners who need to write an essay but as rise has no way of writing essay answers, we would have to ask the learner to complete it and send it in (not ideal) if they didn't complete it essay they shouldn't be able to move on, so as a work around giving them a set time (come back tomorrow after you have completed the essay or something) would work.
