Are more question types going to be included? It seems that only a multiple-choice (single answer) option is available. Would be good to see multiple-choice (multiple answers) and sorting questions etc.
Hi Adam, any update on the questions or quiz type? I'm highly impressed with Rise and have created 2 quick lessons to play with the features. I think the biggest shortcoming is the lack of assessment variety. Can't wait to have more types of assessment.
The original timeline on this has shifted so we're looking to start rolling new questions out later this quarter. I don't have a list of question types to share - but they'll be released as they are ready.
We'll update discussions such as this one and updates are listed in the Rise Version history too.
Hi Adam, any idea what your timing is on having multiple correct answers in the knowledge check? Just deciding on whether I can use this tool and need that feature fairly soon. Thanks!
I've converted some multiple correct answer questions to a sorting activity. These are also limited in both the amount of text and the absence of immediate feedback. So I had to move the feedback to the next lesson. Feedback then also has to be general.
We're still working on the new question types, so I don't have an updated ETA to share just yet. We'll begin releasing them incrementally as ready - so we'll let you know here as soon as we can.
Ditto the other comments, just waiting for the quiz updates. Rise is great, so quick and easy to use too ... hoping we get more options soon. There are workarounds, but not ideal.
I'm afraid I have to agree. Every time someone asks how the development of new features is going or what the developers are working on, the reply is to look at the What's New page. This page is referred to as a roadmap, but it only shows us what's been developed and not what's to come.
It's not like we are expecting miracles, but a little more transparancy would be great. Just knowing what you guys are working on (like which specific question types) and which feature requests are taken into account. An overview like that would save you guys a lot of time answering questions too I think :)
Are you looking for a question bank feature similar to what you'd see in Quizmaker or Storyline, where for example, you can randomly pull 3 questions from a group of 6? That's not a feature on our roadmap right now, but sounds like a good idea!
If you’re wondering what happens when you submit a feature request, here’s our process. You can also send those Feature requests here or include them as comments in the E-Learning Heroes community.
Is there anyway to include open ended questions currently? I have a lot of course content that asks the learner to provide their thoughts. I'm not seeing where I can insert a text-entry box.
I would love this feature!. I'm currently providing this by embedding an activity I've made in another application. It is not ideal. I would like to see the learner be able to answer open ended questions and then download (or email) their responses with generic feedback I have provided.
We present the learner with some scenarios and information - we then ask them for their reaction/suggestion to the situation. The responses aren't weighted/graded. They're typically compiled and delivered to the LMS and displayed in a compiled report.
Some development timelines have shifted in Rise, and the new question types were one of the features impacted.
We're still hard at work on a ton of new things in Rise, and new question types is still on our roadmap. I don't have a new ETA to share, but we'll keep folks posted in this discussion once we have a more accurate time frame!

Any news on additional question types? It's still just one type, correct?
Hi Alex,
No news to report yet. This thread is set for update as soon as we do though :) We are all excited about the addition of more question types.
Hi Adam
It's been 5 months since you said 60 days and wondering when this will happens or not?
Hi Alex,
Can you tell us which question type the Articulate team is working on first?
Cheers,
Mich

Hi Barb and Berno,

Hi Ashley,
No offense but this is what we have been told since the launch of Rise. Currently we are considering gomo learning as an alternative for Rise.
Kind regards, Berno

Hi Adam - has this changed, are questions banks available in Rise?
Hi Kyle,
Are you looking for a question bank feature similar to what you'd see in Quizmaker or Storyline, where for example, you can randomly pull 3 questions from a group of 6? That's not a feature on our roadmap right now, but sounds like a good idea!

Hi Ryan, that's an interesting idea! Can you tell me more about how you would want to use open-ended questions?
Although this isn't a feature in Rise currently, it helps us to have a better understanding of how you would use it!
I would love this feature!. I'm currently providing this by embedding an activity I've made in another application. It is not ideal. I would like to see the learner be able to answer open ended questions and then download (or email) their responses with generic feedback I have provided.

Would you be willing to give me more info on how you do this? What application did you use to create that question type - then how did you embed it?
6 months ago you mentioned that you would be adding more question types in the next 60 days (including multi-select.) Did that happen?
Hi Brett,
Some development timelines have shifted in Rise, and the new question types were one of the features impacted.

Very interested to hear any further updates on this when you have them Ashley. Thanks!
Well, you're in the right place Barb :)

Hi, also looking into the clean easy approach of rise but would love multiple answers for the multiple choice questions. Any progress on this?
hi Rise team - can you take me of this thread?
