I pulled one of the images. It was 2000 pixels high. I changed the image to 600 pixels. Attached.
600 is probably the tallest I'd go with a portrait image since it's going to be taller than wide. You'll need to make your images smaller. If you don't have an app to do that, you can download and try Image Tuner which is a free app that can batch process those.
