Rise 360: Alternatives to Labeled Graphic
Aug 09, 2019
I would like to test learner's knowledge via an image with clickable areas, but I don't want those areas to be immediately noticeable (for that reason, a Labeled Graphic won't work).
For example, if I provide them with a screenshot of an Excel Worksheet and ask "Where do you click to add a new sheet" the only correct place to click would be the + near the sheets at the bottom. If they clicked anywhere else "Try Again" message would pop up.
I'm aware that this is possible in the more robust Articulate programs, like Storyline, but am curious if something like this can be accomplished using only Rise.
Thanks!

Hi Katrina!
This sounds like the perfect job for Storyline 360 hotspots! Once you have the slide designed in Storyline, you can easily embed it in a Rise 360 lesson using a Storyline Block.
Give it a try, and let me know if you need any help along the way. 😊
Thanks Alyssa, I tried that and it worked like a charm! It took me three days to get my IT department to give me access to a Windows machine, but after that it was a breeze.
Happy to hear that worked for you, Katrina! Best of luck on the rest of your project!
It would be great to have this block type in Rise so that we don't have to jump back and forth between Storyline and Rise.
I've created a feature request for hotspots in Rise 360. We'll let you know if it makes the cut!
