Are you using the latest update of the Microsoft Edge browser? If not, please update and let us know if that makes a difference.
I'd also suggest testing the output file in SCORM Cloud to see if the same problem happens in another LMS environment. Please keep me posted, and let me know if I can lend a hand!
Thanks for the ideas Alyssa. The Edge version being used was indeed very old, but the same "crash" can't be duplicated by other users using the same version. For the moment I'm just asking the user to update their version of Edge and see how it goes.
