i have the latest updates and yet when I add any choice and matches to the list they remain in the same order and do not shuffle. Unless I am somehow missing something obvious, I cannot see an option to shuffle the matches??
Hi Niall. I know what you’re talking about, I had a couple of matching question blocks in a Rise course that I built a couple months ago and the new choice options I added didn’t shuffle they just appended to the bottom unshuffled, maybe it’s a bug?
For my course after testing with others the matching question didn’t make sense as there were 8 options so it was quite long to fit on the screen, so I ended up building them as freeform drag and drops in a storyline block.

The ability to shuffle MCQ choices applies only to questions within Quizzes.
For MCQ knowledge checks the answer options will always appear in the order in which they were created.

In a matching knowledge check block, the answer choices on the left side of the interaction will be shuffled, as shown below.
Each time you refresh the page, you should see a new shuffle order.

Alyssa your instruction is correct. I can only assume I was so focused on the right column being mixed I didn't notice the left column being shuffled.
