Hi there, Susan. You can leave the acceptable answer blank, but your learner would have to type a "space" into the answer field in order to submit. Any other entry would be marked incorrect.
Do you want any answer to be acceptable, like a survey question? If the exercise was more about learner reflection and you didn't need to track their answers, you could add a Storyline block with a survey question slide.
Hi, Can I provide feedback with the Storyline essay question survey question? I want to include an 'ideal' answer for the user to compare their answer with. Thanks Sue

Absolutely, Susan!
You can create your own feedback layer with the "ideal answer" for the user to compare to their own answer.
You'll want to use this trigger on your Survey slide: Show layer [feedback layer] when the user clicks the Submit button.
