Rise Video - TalentLMS - Error
Nov 12, 2019
Hi!
In TalentLMS I receive the following error message on one of the videos in a course: "The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported".
This only happens to one of several videos in the same course (all videos are exported with the same settings and no one is "heavier" than 5MB).
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
The course is designed in Rise 360 - Articulate

Hi Birgitte,
Thanks for letting us know what's going on! We've run into a similar issue ourselves, but we haven't yet been able to nail down the cause.
Try deleting that video block, then re-upload the video to the lesson. Publish the course again, and let me know if you still see the error.
I'll be standing by!
Hi!
We did what you suggest and the video played as normal :)
What is troubling us is that this video has played without problems in the past, and we are naturally concerned that this may happen to other videos in other active courses..
I'm glad that helped, Birgitte!
How long has that course been published and hosted on your LMS? Did you recently republish it and then notice the error?
The current course has not been in the LMS for very long, 6-7 weeks maybe? We noticed the error during a test run. The course has not been republished (as far as I can remember).
Thanks!
Good to know, Birgitte. I'm going to share those details with our team. If I get any more information, I'll pass it along to you!
Hello, Birgitte! In today's update for Rise 360, we fixed an issue where video blocks displayed an error message that the media cannot be loaded.
To correct the issue for an existing course, upload the affected videos again, then export the updated course for your LMS or republish it to Review 360.
You can check out the release notes here. Have a great day!
