I'm curious to know if there's a plan to add a course setting that will allow us to hide/unhide the START button? I'm using the Describe your course section (below the title) as my course introduction, so, I don't see the point of having that START button. The only thing that is doing is making my learners skip the introduction since they are clicking on that big START button when opening the course.
You can hide it by editing the exported CSS file if that is something that you are comfortable doing. There are various posts in this forum that cover doing that. The button class is overview__button
I understand that and I'm not comfortable with that either :) Nor do we provide support for that.
That being said, the Start button is a part of the design. You can change/update the text label if you wish and perhaps move the introduction down as your first content piece.
Thanks for your answer, I do understand that it's part of the Design, but is there a reason why you wouldn't want to add that option in the course Settings?
The why is not my specialty, but I can totally support a 'why not' :)
I'm not clear on what steps you would want your user to take to 'start' the course. If they don't have a Start button, what would you envision for your user? Feel free to share your idea and use case here with our team.
Below is a link to see an example of my course template in Rise. You'll see how I'm using the Describe your course section as my course introduction. I know I could add that to a section, but from a Design and flow perspective, I found it more appropriate to have that introduction outside a section.

Hey Stuart,
I'll try that for sure- thanks!
That said, I'm still keeping my ask to the Articulate team as I know some of my colleagues will not be that comfortable at editing CSS files.
Thanks,

As you could see, it could easily be skipped with the START button.
I do see that. Thank you for sharing Frederick :)
I'm going to get this submitted on your behalf.
Thanks Leslie, I appreciate that :)
