Severe problems with links in Rise modules in Workday mobile app
Nov 13, 2020
We have faced severe problems with links in Rise modules published as SCORM packages when they are located in Workday Learning and opened in Workday mobile app.
With Android mobile phones clicking a link makes Workday mobile app crash. According to our tests SCORM modules published with other authoring tools (e.g. iSpring) work ok. So, there seems to be Rise specific compatibility problem here.
In iPhone, external links open but there is no way getting back to the module when clicking Done button. Clicking Done closes the module and takes you to the Workday course menu, and when module is re-opened it opens the link target (not the Rise module content). According to our tests this problem happens with SCORM modules published with other authoring tools as well.
Has anybody else faced this problem? And for the Articulate team: are you familiar with the problem and any fixes coming out soon?

We are seeing this same issue with Articulate Rise courses, when using Workday Learning Mobile app with Android. Opening external links crashes the Mobile App, and this is only related to Articulate Rise. There is no issues with any other courses which has been created with some other authoring tool.
Hello Juha. I see that we're working with you in a case. While Rise 360 output is officially supported for mobile browsers and not apps, we'll track this impact and see if there's something we can do to help.
Thank you for your answer Crystal. Yes, I enter the case to your support, and let's try to find out solution for this Rise issue. Regarding Articulate's support for apps: what about support for Storyline modules in apps?
Hi Juha,
Storyline 360 output is officially supported for mobile browsers, but not mobile apps. Let us know if you have more questions about that!
