Sharing Rise - Question

Hi,
I have just started to use Rise 360, and was testing/(playing around with) various forms of sharing. As I do not currently have an LMS, I downloaded and extracted the assets/lib folders, and goodbye/index.html files to a shared Google GDrive folder. I then emailed the share link for the index.html file to myself. I then clicked on aforementioned link, and rather than executing the course, I just got a lovely display of index.html innards.
Is there any way to make the link executable from Google Drive, or am I missing a step or three?
Thanks

Hi Bruce! The methods listed in this article are the best ways to share courses with learners:
Have a look, and let me know if one of those options would work for you!
Hi Alyssa, and thanks for the reply, however my query was specifically about running from a Google Drive. I understand the options, but none is perfect for me at the moment. Currently investigating whether security/architecture regulations will allow me to directly link the (proposed) CMS to the Rise.com link.
Thanks
