It does look like there is a way to take off the "Take Again" label. In the settings of your course there is a item called "labels" which show all the variations of text for the labels across the course. There is one that says "Take Again"...I deleted what was associated with that label and left it blank, and that worked.
Thank you Avtar for your help. I did manage to get the label off but am left with the icon. I have tried and tried but cannot get rid of the icon so far!

Hi Alison, there is no option to remove the "take again" prompt.

Deleting the Label does not remove the actual Take Again button., which I think was what Alison wanted to do.
I think a button without a label will just cause more confusion.
Here are some screencaps of my fix using a Quiz.
The first couple attachments are with the label in there which i did in "settings"....the third screencap is with leaving the lable field blank.

Avtar, I understand what you are doing. The point is the Take Again button is still active, even though there is no label.
Ahh ok , I see what you are getting it now. The button remains.
