Topics marked as complete in menu when not complete

Apr 13, 2021

We have noticed what we think is a bug with Rise courses in the left navigation and I'm wondering if anyone has found it or if there is a solution.

we have a course, build with open navigation, so a learner can click from topic to topic. We noticed that when a learner clicks onto another topic, without scrolling down to view everything in the other topic, the progress bar will complete and tick.

I've attached an example where I was able to recreate. Any ideas?

Hi Elaine!

Thanks for reaching out! It sounds like you might have the Let Learners Mark Unfinished Lessons Complete feature set to On.

To check and toggle this feature:

  1. Go to your Rise 360 library and open the course you want to edit.
  2. Click Settings in the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. Click the Navigation tab.
  4. Set the Navigation Mode to Free. (Learners never have the option to mark lessons complete when navigation is restricted.)
  5. Toggle the Marking Lessons Complete feature on or off.
  6. When you're done, click the Close button in the upper right corner.
