Hi - i've submitted a case, but figured i'd check with the community, because i feel i must be doing something dumb. I am trying to use the Translate feature to change wording in an existing course (so still the same language, just need to modify some phrases). I've duplicated the course, gone to settings, selected translate, exported the XLIFF file, edited the XLIFF file in a text editor, then imported that file back in. I get a 'success' on the translate page. But when i look at the course (even after refresh or a new browser) my language is the same as before. What am i missing?
Hi there, Patricia. I see that Rowie is working with you, focusing on tags in the XLIFF currently. If you find a resolution, feel free to post it here!
Hi thanks for following up, this has been resolved. The short answer is that you have to use a translation program (or know how to manually tag the file) to indicate where updates are in the fall. You cannot (as I attempted) just edit the file in a text editor and get a result. I'll be pursuing that route now. Thanks!
Thanks for the update, Patty! By the way, replying via email includes your signature with contact information in the public forum. Feel free to edit your reply here.
