I use SL360 and have upgraded from SL2. One of the features in those tools that is really helpful is the export/import translation. Are there any plans to release the same function in Rise?
As currently I am maintaining a separate word document as a storyboard to be sent to our Translation team, which I then create a duplicate version of the English Rise course and build again in French.
If there are plans for this function, when could we expect it? Thank you so much!
We also need to translate our Rise eCourses into multiple languages.
While waiting for the import/export feature ...
... does anyone have a suggestion on how to 'extract' the text from a Rise course? So we can (a) get a word count and (b) send a text document for translation?
Hello, we are also very interested in translating courses from Rise. We typically translate our eLearning (created in Stroyline 360) into 14 different languages. We have recently begun using Rise and have fallen in love with its functionality and sleek look. But if Rise doesn't have an easy way to translate content, we may have to stop using Rise completely.
We feel comfortable targeting Q2 2018 to release Course Translation. I hope this helps with your planning, and we'll let you know as soon as it's ready to go.
We do have this thread attached to the report so that we can update you here when we can as well.
Agreed all our content MUST be translated into multiple languages. We just started playing with Rise and that is how we want to move forward with our micro learning but will get push back if we can't translate it quickly.
We’re still working on a translation feature for Rise courses in conjunction with several other highly requested Rise features. As a result, the timeline for this has slipped a bit. We'll share an updated ETA for the translation feature here as soon as we have one.
Please bear with us as we work hard to meet all your needs.
I built a course in Rise and I we have to translate it in 16 other languages (unfortunately due in 3 weeks) ...
Does the collarborater need a licence? Is it possible to add 16 collaborates?
Or is it better to make a copy of my course and say "please translate" ... or can I give one person a subscription if the translation is done, give the licence to another one?

Hi Kathrin! Good questions about our collaborator feature in Rise. You can work on your Rise course with any other Articulate 360 Team members. So, yes, they'll need access to a 360 Teams subscription, and yes, you can have as many collaborators as you like!
If you'd like to send a copy of your course to another Articulate 360 user (team or freelancer), you can use the Send a Copy feature. Each of you will have your own copy of the course.
I hope that helps in your planning. Sounds like you have a big project - congrats!
You can now localize a Rise course into other languages. Simply export text to an XLIFF file, translate it, then import it back into Rise with formatting intact.

Hi Tara. Thanks so much for your question. We've got translation features on the roadmap for Rise, but I don't have a definite ETA to share.
I'm going to include your discussion in our report for this feature, and we'll be sure to update you here with any developments!
Thank you so much!

We've just stopped using Rise. We love the features but need to translate to 7 languages.
We did it for one course but the effort involved outweighed the benefit so we've gone back to using Storyline.
This translation requirement has been on the road map for a long time but does not seem to have any priority and never an ETA.
Hi Matt,
Justin shared an ETA for this feature here:
We do have this thread attached to the report so that we can update you here when we can as well.
Any update on this? Does Articulate have a target release date?
Hi, Yousef. Thanks for checking in, and for letting us know how important this feature is to you!
You're in the right place for all updates, and we'll let you know as soon as it's ready to go ☺️

Hi Jennifer,
This is still a feature our team is working on, so we'll let you know as soon as it's ready.
We also desperately need this translation feature. Thank you.
Same here. Any updates on current developments concerning translation options would be appreciated.
Getting desperate for this feature now! Any dates for release?
