Using Rise for a compliance course...

Jul 06, 2018

Hi, I am considering using Rise instead of Storyline 360 for a text based course. This is a compliance course. With Storyline, the LMS can track that each screen has been touched. But with Rise, is there any way to track if all content has been viewed Thanks.

When you export your course in Rise, you'll see tracking options and get set percentage of course complete.

There are a few things you can do that requires the user to be active on the screen:

  • use continue blocks to hide content which requires the user to click to continue, it can be locked based on blocks above
  • insert interactions which need to be completed to mark lesson complete
  • lock navigation so they can't jump around but need to complete lessons in order

Hi, thank you for this info! One question related to your last bullet about locking navigation,  can the learner move freely through blocks they have already unblocked, once they've done one pass through? And, will they need to re-take any of the interactions (that we have them do in order to mark lesson complete as well) - although they already did them once?

Thank you for this info! To continue the compliance questions: When using the continue block feature to mark passage through the course, can the course be structured into lessons? In this situation, the learner would also have to access every lesson (with blocks) in a course to get completion status. OR, should it be one continuous flow of blocks that are not broken up into lessons? Thank you.
