Videos Loaded in RISE are muted and can't be unmuted

I have an issue with adding videos to RISE. All of the videos that I upload are muted within RISE and I (or others reviewing the course) are unable to unmute the videos. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to correct the issue? I have tried loading the videos as MP4s and AVIs but no luck either way.

Hi Nathanael, 

I haven't run into the same issue with my own Rise courses and videos, so I'd like to know a bit more about your set up. 

  • What browser are you working in while authoring Rise courses? 
  • Have you noticed this in a particular lesson/block type, or all lessons/types? 
  • Can you click to unmute while Previewing the Rise course or viewing the Share link?

If you can include a copy of a video here, I'm happy to test adding that to my own Rise courses. Also, if you can include the Share link here I can test that too.
