View training on your mobile

May 18, 2018

I have just started getting myself familiarized with this great tool! Quick question: If we created a bunch of training videos for our users and published them internally so they can start taking them, can the users download them and watch them on their mobile offline? Or do you need to be online to view the courses? Do they require to download any app to view these on their mobile?

Hi Szilvia,

The options for exporting and sharing your Rise courses are detailed here. Do you have an internal training site that you'll store them for users to access? If so, you may want to look at the Web export.

Offline viewing is supported in Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Just download a Rise course as a web package, extract the zip file, then launch the index.html file.

Embedded web content won't work offline unless you have an active internet connection.

Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge block local playback of Rise courses altogether. You'll just see a blank page in these browsers. To use Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge, you'll need to upload your course to a web server or LMS.

If users are viewing it on a mobile device, no special app is required! They'll access the course using the URL/link you provide through their mobile browser and the content will play directly in the browser.
