I was hoping to have the user fill out information and have it populate further down the line ie text variables, as a work around would it work to take the user from say block 5 back to the block with the information they entered say block 1 then replace a button (layer??) to jump them forward to block 6?
You could have the earlier block open up as a lightbox via a link from the current slide. Closing the lightbox will return them back to the current slide.
Rise doesn't have variables and lightboxes like Storyline does. Are you restricted to using Rise for this project? Maybe Storyline 360 could be a better fit for this lesson.
Any information you add to a text entry field in a Storyline block will not appear in subsequent Storyline blocks, since each block will be treated independently.
The community may have other ideas for you, so I'm looking forward to what they will share here!
Is this something that is now achievable with the new export PDF function or is that not for someone's completed (with answers) course just a blank course?
You would use that feature if you needed to print a hard copy of the course to keep in your backup files, or share it with a learner who doesn't have internet access.

Hey folks,
Rise doesn't have variables and lightboxes like Storyline does. Are you restricted to using Rise for this project? Maybe Storyline 360 could be a better fit for this lesson.
Hmm I was just about to jump in and find light boxes in rise :( Can I reference the same block (a Storyline block) every 4 blocks?
Absolutely Jolene, but they will be treated independently. It sounded like you may have wanted to pull some information based on your initial post.
yea you are right I did want to pull information or at least add to the same storyline block every so 4 or so blocks. Could this be possible?
Hi Jolene,
Any information you add to a text entry field in a Storyline block will not appear in subsequent Storyline blocks, since each block will be treated independently.

Hi Jolene!
Exporting a Rise course to PDF is something you can do as the course owner--it's not a feature for learners.
You would use that feature if you needed to print a hard copy of the course to keep in your backup files, or share it with a learner who doesn't have internet access.
I see, thanks any way Alyssa :)
