Writing answer text and exporting it to a file
Jul 05, 2019
Hi there
I'm working on a new project using Rise 360. I've never used the platform before: the look and feel of it is impressive, but I'm still getting used to how it works!
I was wondering: is it possible to do either/both of the following?
- Learners are prompted to write down their thoughts in a text box, possibly with a few basic formatting tools (like the text box I'm writing this text into, in fact).
- The content of all the text boxes throughout the course is collated into some exportable file format.
Is there something I'm missing, or some workaround, that means these could be done?
Best wishes
Richard

Sounds like Mike Amelang's Learning Journal is what you're after.
It's not an official part of Rise so you'll need to jump through a few hoops to get it working – and won't be able to preview the function within Rise itself – but the documentation seems simple enough.
You could do this into a pdf using pdfMake
Thanks very much for this – looks interesting.
Do you have any details on this? The anti-virus software on my desktop PC doesn't like https://pdfmake.org/. (I get a 'This site is not secure' message.)
