what is the best way to add audio to rise, so that the speaking starts when you start each section? I see that you can add an audio "block", is there any way to add audio to the other blocks?
When we released Rise, we shied away from auto-play audio because it's really non-standard on mobile devices. In fact, most phone browsers actually prevent auto-play of media; it needs to be user-initiated.
You can also include media such as audio in the lesson types like the Process interaction, labelled graphic or timeline. You'll see in each of those when you go to add the individual items such as a marker in labelled graphic that they also have the option to include media or embed audio.
I have a question regarding audio as well. Right now it's possible to upload audio files in a Rise course, but I would like to embed audio. When embedding a video in a multimedia block using an iframe, the videoplayer is included in the URL. This is not a standard for audio files. Is there a way to embed audio?
Sorry, just found out I can embed audio files in an iframe (using SoundCloud for example). Refrasing my question: is it possible to use the Rise audioplayer to play embedded audio files?
Is there away to play audio files continuously (if manually started) throughout the lesson (including different blocks) or does it need to be restarted in each block (e.g., background music)?

Hello Maria and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)

Where are you hoping to add audio in?
Hi Leslie,

Hi Amy,
I know you can add/record audio in a block lesson, but not embed. You do get a little player with your audio in this block though :)
In block lessons, you can add a multimedia audio block, then click Edit to open the sidebar. Choose either Upload or Start Recording.
Is there away to play audio files continuously (if manually started) throughout the lesson (including different blocks) or does it need to be restarted in each block (e.g., background music)?
