Cannot un-format (remove) Bold appearance
Jun 28, 2018
Hey,
Something strange: I am using Rise in Chrome (Version 67.0.3396.99 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit)) and I cannot un-format bold text back to regular.
When I select regular text, I get the bold option to choose, and when I select bold -- I cannot "un-bold" it :)
Screenshot attached.
Clearing formatting with an eraser does not help (somehow enlarges the text). I am using a text chunk Paragraph with Heading.
What am I missing?
Thank you very much!
P.S. When I created a new paragraph with heading and started with plain text in paragraph, then I can turn it to bold and vice versa. I suspect that in the problem that I describe I first used only Heading block, then worked with text, then turned it into Paragraph with Heading, and then got this bug. If I start from scratch with a new block Paragraph with Heading, without converting one block to another type, - then the problem does not reproduce.

does the same thing happen in Firefox and IE?
Yes, Angel, I suspect this is kinda bug , when I start with a heading, and then turn it into paragraph and heading (you can do it with elements from within one group, just changing the selection of the element on the left of its control settings panel)
intriguing?
Hi Irina! The Heading text will always be bold. It sounds like you started with a Heading block and typed a paragraph's worth of text. When you turned it into a Paragraph with Heading block, your text should have remained as the heading with space to type paragraph text. I tested copying what I had typed into the Heading and pasting it into the paragraph section. It came in bold, but I was able to remove the bold formatting.
If you are unable to remove bold formatting from paragraph text, though, can you please take a Peek of what you're seeing? I'd like to make sure we have any issues documented to fix!
Dear Crystal,
Thank you very much for your answer!
I understand now that by conversion from a Heading to Paragraph in Heading Rise just adds a space to add more text to function as paragraph body, but does not convert the text from the Heading (even if there is more than just one row) into a body-text. Now I get it, thank you very much!
Everything works fine, there is no bug!
