Course Restrictions

Jan 19, 2018

Hello, we just upgraded to Articulate 360 and Rise and so far very impressed with the capability of both.

My first course I am trying to create in Rise, I wanted to make a restriction that the learner can not proceed or finish the course with out clicking on an opening a link to a compliance document. I can't seem to do this. I can only restrict moving from lesson to lesson...not on the link itself. Is there a way of ensuring the link is the restriction to completion?

Also,  I  can't seem to be able to load content from the content library onto the "Labeled Graphic" template. I need to load from my own content. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi there Doug! You've got some great questions, and I'm happy to answer them. 😁

  1. While there isn't a way to force a user to open a link in Rise, you can encourage them to do so with a Checkbox List block and a Continue block. Here's a sample of what that could look like!

I can see why it would be useful to require learners to click a link, especially when it comes to compliance documents. I'll pass that feedback along to my team!
  2. We chose not to include access to Content Library images in the Labeled Graphic lesson because we didn't think customers would need to label a random stock photo image. Are you looking to use a stock image in the Labeled Graphic lesson, or do you want to use an image that is saved to your computer?

Thank you Alyssa,
After playing around with Rise I was able to find a solution using basically what you described.
The content library was more an observation, as other interactions in Rise access content library but not the labeled graphic. At this time I have no need for the content library and a labled graphic but you never know.
