Displaying a Storyline block in Rise

Dec 14, 2018

I'm having trouble getting my Storyline block in a correct size in the Rise course I'm building.  If I set it to the "small" size, some of the text is harder to read.  If I set it to "medium" or "full width", you have to scroll up and down to see everything in the slide.  Is there a size I should be using in my Storyline to get it to a decent size but still fitting on the screen?

I changed my story size to the 16:9 ratio to try it out.  It all fits in the window when I choose the small setting, but then I feel like it's just too small.  Yes, I could make my fonts bigger, but I need more text for some scenarios and MC questions I have.  So when I choose the medium size, you can't see the back and next button, and have to scroll up and down to see the player.  I don't get it!

Hi there,

Can you share a copy of your course so I can have a look at what's happening? If you're not able to share it publicly, I would get in touch with our Support Team and have them take a look. You can submit a case here.

In the meantime, if there's anything else I can do to help, please let me know!

Hi there,

I just tested this out and everything looks normal on my end. Can you have a look at the test course I created and tell me if it looks okay on your side of things? If it's not looking right, can you take a screenshot so I can see what you're seeing? Also, can you check and make sure your browser zoom is set to 100%?

Let me know and we'll go from there.

I have the same problem too. 16:9 is the dimension I use too. When we preview using Rise360 on laptop if I choose small the video text is barely visible. If I choose medium/large then the interactive block becomes large and the seekbar/pre/next buttons can't be seen unless scrolled up/down. It is not an issue that can be fixed individually. It is the Rise 360 setting that makes it like this.

Hi Gayathri,

We would love to take a look at your file so we can better understand what's happening. Would you mind sharing the following:

  1. Copy of your Storyline file
  2. Screenshots showing the issue

If you would like to share these privately, please use this form and one of our Customer Support Engineers will be in touch with you directly once we receive your files. Thanks!

Hello, I am having the same issue.  My Storyline Slide is 1920x1080 (fullscreen) and when I insert as a Rise 360 block under full width, it cuts off the very top and bottom of the slide.

I am stuck using the medium width, and that is not quite big enough.  Is there a certain Slide size I can use to get around this?

Without having an option to show the Storyline block in fullscreen, the absence of a usable full width block is very painful.
