I might be very dense, but I can't seem to find any way to change the font style in Articulate Rise. Is this an option? I was hoping to build a specific brand module with this new tool, but said brand will insist on their fonts being used. Is this currently available or will it be?
Will this "custom font" option include "office-like" font options? It would be such a benefit to be able to add different colors/effects to specific words/letters within a sentence to provide additional value to the end user. Specifically, I'm looking to be able to change a line of text to red, italicize it, and add a "strikethrough" effect, for content I know may change in the future or may be part of a future release that I want to let the end user know is pending or not currently working.
Thanks for letting us know what you'd like to see, Austin! I don't have the specifics on the features that will be included within the font formatting options, but I know our developers have been hard at work on this tool. We're all excited for it's release! You're in the right place to stay up to date on the launch. ☺️
Hi all, I notice a recent update to Rise. Is it now possible to use a different range of fonts or to import fonts? I'm wanting to apply our style guide to a Rise project.
You can now change the font colors, and custom font choices are still on our roadmap for later this year. We'll keep you posted on the release of that feature!
Hey John! We've still got custom fonts on our roadmap, but I don't have specifics on an ETA just yet. Hang tight--we'll post an update here as soon as it's released!

Hi Lisa,
Did you see Alyssa's most recent post? It seems you two could have been commenting around the same time!
Would someone know if the font question is addressed? I am not sure why, at least, the defaults are not some of the common fonts that people use, such as Century Gothic, Calibri, etc.
Hi, there is a workaround to changing the fonts within Rise to any you like. However you will need to change the html and css files - actually not that hard before anyone cries! The only problem lies in that you would have to change the output files every time you make an edit. Not hard but would be better to specify within Rise itself. Looking forward to having this feature!
I've posted a video on youtube if anyones interested.
I'm interested in knowing more, as to how to do this. I'm wondering, when the font changes are made using a tool like Dreamweaver, can the module then be still exported as a Scorm file?
I don't think changing the font should impact a Scorm export. As far as I know, they don't have much to do with each other. To change your fonts in Rise, you'll need to do 3 things as far as I can tell: 1. upload your missing font (including all weights and sizes) into the /fonts folder in your Rise export. 2. Replace fonts in the font.css file (e.g. replace 'Lato' with 'your-font' in all instances). 3 Change the font reference in the index.html file. It's not terribly difficult but if one isn't a basic front-end developer, it could get tricky.
For someone that hasn't opened Dreamweaver before I didn't really know what I was doing, and don't know why I am doing it ... but I followed your Youtube clip and SOMEHOW managed to get it to work.

Hopefully an update is made to Rise soon without the need of having to go through this, but thank you Paul for your Youtube clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTKM6QTnuYo
Nicely done Paul and Michael! Really cool to see what you've been able to accomplish.
The custom fonts features is up next for our team to work on. We’ve got a few other things in the pipeline before that, but once we’re able to share an update on this we’ll let you know!
Hey Folks, is there any update about the fonts? It would be great to have the ability to add additional fonts in order to pay attention to our brand. This is a feature that has held us back from using RISE just yet.
I will keep an eye on this thread, hopefully there will be an update for us.

In the meantime, check out the newly release tutorials and user guides for Rise!
Any update on the ability to upload custom fonts? I'm responding to your post from 10 months ago.

I understand Mewael. Alyssa recently shared an update above on this thread, which you can find here.
Welcome to E-Learning Heroes by the way :)
Any further word on custom font availability? It's now Q4 '17...
Nothing new yet, Kimberly, but you're in the right place to stay up-to-date on the release. We'll share as much as we can, as soon as we can!

Hi Greg,
Thanks to Michael for posting the youtube link and trying it out.
Glad it all went well for you.

Any further info on this? We want to be able to use Rise but the lack of font options are making it a tough sell...
Hello Elizabeth and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
As Ashley mentioned above, this feature is on our list, but we do not have a timeline or update to provide at this time.
It was just wishful thinking that it was further along the timeline! ;)
Is the custom font feature coming anytime this year. The client I work for is very keen on this feature.
Hi Sakina,
We're working on this feature right now! We're planning to release this feature really soon, and once we are ready to roll it out, we'll let you know!
