First you'll want to make sure you're using a supported browser for authoring in Rise (IE isn't one of them!) and you can see the list here. You'll want to use the latest version as well.
I'd also suggest working with your IT team to ensure all the network endpoints and ports listed here are enabled.
Thank you for the information. Glad to know IE can't be used for authoring! One additional question about ports: Why would it be the case that the image library works one day but not the next? It's working right now for me but wasn't yesterday and I'm pretty sure my machine hasn't changed.
Hm, well I wouldn't expect that to happen unless your IT team had changed something on their side. It sounds like you can get the images now, though - so let us know if you run into an issue again.
That's good feedback, Kevin. I passed it along to our team who manages all our documentation and they'll look at updating those system requirements in the next couple days to include a reference to the Network Endpoints and Ports that need to be enabled.
Hi, I've got a similar problem happening. The first few images are displaying in the content library, (perhaps 20) and after that I get blank icons as I scroll down. If I try to insert a 'blank' image, I get a blank image placeholder coming up in my rise course.
Hello, I'm having the same issue as Sky, while trying to add images to my Rise project. I work from home and do not have a firewall where I need to allowlist the sites that you mentioned. In fact, I even pinged the websites using the Network Utility and they are not being blocked. I'm using Chrome on a Mac. Tried on two different computers.
Hi Jeffrey! It sounds like something isn't working quite right, so I'm going to connect you with our Support team to get you the help you need. I've opened a case for you, so you should get a reply soon.
I've seen the same issue. Interestingly enough, if you access Rise from a phone (not that you would develop courses on a phone), there is no issue with preview images in the content library. It does appear to be an issue that your IT department must resolve.

Ran into it again. I saw your requirements (https://articulate.com/support/article/System-Requirements-for-Articulate-360-Content-Library) and it didn't list anything about network endpoints and ports. I'll go that route to see if I can get a fix to this issue, which is PAINFUL!

Did a solution to this every arise as I'm currently having the same problem on Rise but not on Articulate 360
