Sarah created a beautiful Rise course using GIFs as lesson headers in this example. She explains how she created those headers in the comments within that discussion thread. That would be a good place to start!
The best images for the header area are widescreen images that don't require exact cropping. Keep in mind that the header image will be cropped differently depending on what type of device the learner is using.
Instead of using that .gif in the header, could you add it to an "Introduction" lesson in an image block?
How does one perform this same operation in such a way that you can export the course in Scorm? We utilize an LMS and Scorm for tracking, but it seems that this only works for an HTML based course.
I think part of the original question still remains unanswered here. Can we have separate images for each lesson header? The file format doesn't matter to me.
I want to use different images for each Lesson Header. Please provide an answer and steps for achieving that.
Is it possible to achieve that in the upcoming versions?
If there are no such plans yet, can we expect the Articulate team to consider integrating this feature in the upcoming version(s)?
I'm sure it's not a complicated feature to be added, but if it's done, it'd definitely be helpful in adding great aesthetical value to our courses.
Each lesson has its own focus area, and to be able to establish that aesthetically by giving them their own theme by having a separate/dedicated colour or image for each lesson header would take our courses aesthetically to a different level.
Hope I'm sounding reasonable and not too demanding here :)
Thanks for providing more details about what you're looking for with lesson headers. I understand that you would like the option to add images to each lesson header rather than having one image designated for all lesson headers.
I've created a feature request on your behalf and will keep you updated if it makes it on the feature roadmap. I really appreciate you taking the time to share this feature idea with us!

Hi - I'm not seeing instructions for how to do this in the comments here. Cam someone help?
Nadine, the link is provided above in Alyssa's first comment.

Hi Joseph! If you want to add a GIF as a cover photo in Rise, check out this how-to article:
GIFs in the header should work for SCORM content, too! Let us know if you're getting stuck, and we'll be happy to assist.

Hi Yih Wen Chang ,
It's not possible to use different images for each Lesson Header.
The only option is to select a single header image that applies to all Lessons in the same course.
Thanks, Karl for answering that!
