Navigation

Hi there, Andrew!  The menu in Rise currently serves as a navigation guide as well as a way for learners to see their progress through the course.  But it sounds like you might have some specialized courses that don't necessarily flow from one lesson to the next.

Would you be able to share an example of how you're using Rise?  I'll touch base with our team and see if we have any features on the horizon that might be useful for you!

I am combining RISE with our LMS system. The LMS takes care of navigation and tracking. I would like to use RISE to create Learning Objects which are then imported into our LMS.

I would also like to use activities built in RISE e.g. a quiz, as a stand alone lesson, which can then be part of a wider course in our LMS. I'm looking at RISE as a tool to provide course components intertwined with LMS content rather than providing the course itself.

Articulate, any news on whether my suggestion is coming....? Will there be more control over hiding the TOC?

Hey Andrew -  yes, we're working on a feature so you can optionally hide the sidebar. I don't have a timeframe right now but it's definitely gonna happen.

Will this include the options at the top of the screen to jump to previous, and at the bottom to jump to next? Hopefully these can be turned off also.

Will the option for hiding the homepage entirely become available as well? 

i.e. users jump straight into the first lesson/activity.

When you hide the sidebar, the cover page TOC is also hidden. I should have mentioned that in the video.

To take it one step further it would be cool if users could jump straight into the first lesson i.e. hiding the homepage entirely. Is this something you could consider? 

This would really help for embedding RISE lessons/activities into an LMS.
