New Rise Feature: Content Library integration

Could someone please tell me if there's any way to save pictures you like to reuse later in the module (or in another module). I've used some that I'd like to use later in the module, but can't find them again (even when searching using the file name). Thanks!

I had a question regarding uploading images to Rise. I took a screenshot using the snipping tool on Windows, saved it as a .PNG file and it looks great and sharp on my computer. When I upload it to Rise to use in a block, the resulting image looks like it has been compressed and is not sharp. What are the recommended image specifications for good quality images that are uploaded by users?

We recommend utilizing the high quality images. You mention a screenshot, but would you be able to use the actual image vs a screenshot?

Need help please. When I visit the content library in Rise it doesn't display picture or videos but rather a picture thumbnail. It allows me to attache the file and the picture open after it was attahced to the page but doing this everytime to find a picture is not my idea of building a beautiful Rise module. Thanks :-)

What browser are you utilizing and have you tried a different one to see if it works better for you? I searched the same terms you shared from Rise and see some nice suggestions:

I am using Google Chrome.  Yesterday I came accross a section in the library where pictures are open and others stay as thumbnails. See attached picture. 

The library suggestions you've managed to open as a list I can only see after the import to the module has completed.

Photos and Illustrations can be utilized at this time as you can see here.

You are welcome to share your thoughts with our team here about the ability to see Content Library videos included with Rise as well. 

You can certainly use them today with Storyline and this is a great article on choosing the right tool :)

My coworkers and I can't see any of the images in the content library in Rise. We are running the current version of Chrome, but only see the attached.  I can't see them in Firefox either.

Sorry that you're struggling to get the images of Content library in Rise. Does this only happen in Rise or have you tried in any of the other tools (Storyline, Quizmaker, etc.)? 

Have you checked to see that the network endpoints here are allowed?

It would be even better if we could access the content library from the lesson icon image to replace the template image.

Which lesson type are you looking to add the content library image too?

If you're looking to replace the template image of a labelled graphic, that does not allow you to use Content Library for the base image (you can search Content Library for images inserted into the markers).  Take a look at Adam's video here for more explanation!

Wow - this is way over my head! I'll send it to IT and see if they can help me. I've tried in Storyline too and am also unable to see anything in the content library. Thanks!

Any updates on when Characters from the Content Library will be available for integration into Rise?

Thanks for checking in! We don't have a timeline for this yet, but we are looking at options for including characters and icons from Content Library in Rise courses.

Even if we cannot include Characters directly into Rise at this time, is it possible to download a .zip of the images, so we can include them from the local file system instead?

I'd consider using the new Storyline Block perhaps.

We are still looking to add Content Library Characters and Icons within Rise as well, but I do not have a timeline.

Sorry if I've missed a response, but I still have the question about reusing pictures in Rise. Is there a simple way to save or refind a picture you've used previously. Thanks.

Are you looking for an easy way to search in Content Library for an image you already added to your Rise course? I could see how that would help and make things easier if you had a library or "recently viewed" section. Our product team loves hearing new ideas! Just a quick note - Labelled Graphic lessons can now be created using Content Library images. I recorded a quick demo here using Peek,  it's super easy to add these images or illustrations into your courses!
