Great idea, Molly! And by the way, changing a text label will affect all your Rise courses that use the same label set.
For example, if you edit the text on the "Continue" button in the built-in English label set, every course that uses that English label set will automatically get the same changes. I'd recommend creating a new label set when you need to customize text labels so you won’t accidentally change the labels in other Rise courses.
Hi Adam, 6 months ago you said this feature (combining some of the pre-built interactions (labeled graphics, processes, sorting activity, quizzes, etc.) in lessons built using blocks) was shipping this calendar quarter, but I am yet to see it in Rise. Is there a revised ETA?

We've got plans to allow you to lock the video seekbar on your videos that you upload from a file so that your learners can't scrub to the end for completion. Would that feature help you out?
With the new Storyline block, the Continue button 'lights up' before starting the Storyline interaction. I would like it not to be available until they have completed the Storyline mini-course. How can I do that (and yes, it's set to only work when the content immediately above it is complete, but turns on anyway). Thanks!
Great question, Dave! Storyline blocks are similar to embedded web content. You can’t require learners to complete them. Once you scroll to the Storyline block, the continue button will be enabled.
Could you add a knowledge check question after the Storyline block to check the learner's understanding of the content?
Hi, how does this work with audio/voice over if we want to add it to each block and restrict from moving ahead unless they've listened to it? Thanks! Anna
I believe the answer is if you're putting that audio/voice over in a Storyline block, then you can't enforce that they listen to it. But if you put that audio in as a media block in Rise, you should be able to require that they listen to the whole thing with a Continue block configured correctly. Hopefully in a future update, they'll fix it so the Storyline block can also work with the Continue block to check that people have finished the Storyline item before moving on.
Yes, you can add audio and put a Continue button right below it, set it to "Complete block directly above" and it won't let the learner move on until the audio fully plays. (Of course, they can slide it to the end and not actually listen to it <g>, but that's another issue.)
Now the resticted navigation dosent work as before anymore. Before you have to go through all text and pass the quiz before you was able to continue to the next block and now its possible. Its very important for us the the participants cant go the the next step before passing the quiz with 80% and after your update they can. And the new button have no effect on the quiz. How shall we solve the problem?
Is there any way to make a quiz a "stopping point" in the middle of a course? We have a course with content after the quiz and users can move past the quiz even if they failed it...

It's a feature for Rise we have on our road map to lock the users progress until they pass a quiz. We're targeting early 2018 (in Q1) for this feature - so we'll keep you posted here as we get closer to the release!
Hi Tim - I just came across your post here and know that we chatted briefly today during the Live webinar. Has this issue been resolved for you or do you still need assistance? I want to make sure you're getting what you need.
I can't seem to get the Continue button to work with an interactive button. For example, I need our learners to click on the button (to launch a procedure to read), and I want the Cotinue button to be hidden until the procedure review button has been clicked... however... the Continue button shoes up even before the procedure review button has been click. please help!
I want all blocks to be completed prior to moving on in the course but would also like to have the option for the learner to have audio at the top of the page. To make the audio optional but all other blocks completed with the in the continue block? Basically a selective restriction.
The Continue block has two options for what needs to be completed, either all the blocks or just the block directly above. It sounds like you'd need a few more options, so I'll share that idea with the team!

If a user presses Continue button and a new portion of content becomes unfolded - it will stay unfolded even if the user navigates from the lesson away and when they return - it is still unfolded (meaning, Continue can be pressed only once to reveal the content, and the content will stay revealed forever, until the user reloads the complete course). We would like to create a behavior where the content under Continue can become hidden again even if it was already reviewed once by a user. Also, if I add at the bottom of the lesson a "Go To Top" button (if a content after Continue was pretty long) and link this button to the lesson itself - Rise won't jump to the top of the page but will do nothing if I click this button (as I am already in the same lesson). It would be great to have the possibility to jump to the top of the page too.
Is it somehow possible to achieve today or should I submit a feature request? Thank you very much!
Thanks for posting your comment here. You can indeed change the color of the Continue button. The Color of the continue block is controlled by the Accent Color you set for your course (instructions on how to set accent color here: https://community.articulate.com/articles/rise-personalizing-the-theme). So whatever color you set there, that will be the color of your continue button.
If you'd like the ability to make the Continue button a different, unique color that is not the Accent color please do feel free to submit a feature request for that here. Thanks!

Actually, the label for the Continue block is separate from the Course Labels, so it made it even easier. :)
I apologize, you're absolutely right! The "Continue" button is not part of the button labels, so no worries about changing the text! :)

I have the same question. After testing, it appears that videos are not 'counted'. It'd be great to make the learner watch a video before continuing.

The continue blocks work great until I publish to a server where they no longer show up. Are they only active in LMS export??

Continue blocks can control navigation with check-box lists, accordions, tabs, flashcards, and knowledge checks.
Instead of placing a Continue block directly below the button block, try adding a checkbox list. Here's a sample of what that could look like!
