I have used a button block at the end of my course to allow a student an easy way to exit. The problem is that the Font in the button block is not taking on the same Font as the rest of my blocks even though I have checked the size is the same. Image shows the problem.
Has anyone else come across this and found a solution?
Hi there, Dennis. Thanks for reaching out. Because Rise is built for rapid authoring of responsive courses, we've designed a lot of the formatting for you. It sounds like this doesn't quite match your needs, though.
I can see how you might want to match the button text font to your theme font, so I'll pass that along to our product team for you. 😁
thanks for your comment. Just to be clear it’s not the font on the button itself, but the text within the block where I have said you can now exit, that font is different to the rest of the standard blocks therefore not consistent.
Ah, thanks for clarifying that! Could you share a few screenshots of the button block and the font theme you're using? Here's what I'm seeing?
I'm using Merriweather for both heading and body font.
In this button block, the heading and body text are both Merriweather. The font in the body is a thinner version of Merriweather, but you can set it to bold, if you like.
The font in the Button Block (shown below) is a thinner version of Lato. You can highlight that text and format it as Bold if you want it to be thicker.
I'm having this problem as well and because my heading text is a serif font and my body text is a san serif font, it is really visible. Is there a workaround or will this be fixed in a future version?
Right now, there isn’t a way to manually change the font in specific blocks in Rise 360. Would you be up for logging a feature request to tell us more about your specific needs?
In the meantime, if there’s anything else I can do to help, please let me know!
Since I would consider the body text in all interactions as "body text" I think it should use the body text font. Not so much a feature request, but just a request to fix what seems to be a mistake in the program.
Should I log this?

It appears that this is still an issue. I'm using Open Sans for my body text and on the Button Block the font is a serif font. Please let me know if I should log it as an issue again.
Hi there, Elizabeth. The button block text uses the Headings font instead of the body font. If that text isn't matching what you selected for your headings font, let's have a closer look together. You can start a case with my team here.
We're tracking requests for the button stack description text to match your body font, and I'll tag this discussion to be updated.
This has always bothered me as well. Button blocks use the heading font instead of the body font and it stands out like a sore thumb for folks who use drastically different fonts. But it's been this way for as long as I've been using Rise so I'm not expecting a fix anytime soon. Just seems like a very odd design choice by them.

Alyssa,
I had included an image with the original post, but here is another one.
Hi Dennis,
What have you set for the theme fonts in your Rise course?
Ashley,
Good morning.
Lato for both.
Thanks, Dennis!

Hi Shannon,
I see what you mean! On our end, it looks like this was a design choice so I would definitely submit a feature request if you'd to see that change.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. :)

Hello, Elizabeth! Let's narrow down why you're seeing the wrong font in a button block:
Hello - I see the serif font when I add the Button block in Edit mode. I haven't tried publishing yet. I'm working in Chrome.

Thanks, Crystal, it is showing in my headings font, but I can confirm it seems to me like that should be body text. Thanks for tagging the discussion.

I can confirm I am still experiencing this issue. It's obvious enough to me that I don't think I will use the button stack:
I'm having the same issue! Has this been resolved? Thanks
Hi Margharita,
If you are having the same issue, then no, the issue has not been resolved.
