Rise - Course Customization?

Mar 09, 2017

Is there any way to resize the logos when setting up the course (and any other advanced customisation to bring things on brand!) I need to increase the clients font size and type (preferably to ASAP rather than Lato!)

Thanks All!

Hi there Alistair!

The Rise logo feature has a fixed size, but to make sure your logo appears as large as possible, remove any whitespace surrounding it before you upload it. You could also look at incorporating your logo within your Cover Photo using a photo editor prior to uploading it into Rise.

And since you asked about fonts, you presently can choose from these six fonts in Rise: Lato, Raleway, Roboto, Open Sans, Merriweather, Lora, Roboto Slab, Maitree.

And we've got adding custom fonts on the roadmap!

Hello Alyssa,

I love the logo feature on Rise. However, I am having some issues with it. Some of my logos will upload large enough where other ones upload too small. I have taken your advice to remove all white space but continue to have this issue. I noticed that the logos that are square do not increase in size no matter what I do, where as the images that are horizontal rectangles are the prefect size. I know you suggested that I can add the logo to the cover photo, but that does not work for what I am trying to do. Do you have any other suggestions?

Thank you,

Nicole

Hi Sachin,

So glad to hear you love the logo feature! I can help you get these issues straightened out. 🙂

Could you share a few screenshots of the Rise cover page with the logos that are the correct size and the ones that are too small? If you could also share your logo image files with me, I'd like to test those as well.

You can attach the files to this thread using the ADD ATTACHMENT button.

Thanks for sharing those files with me, Sachin. That was really helpful!

Rise has a max height for logo size. And since Rise is responsive, the max height varies depending on the screen size of the device you're using.

Rise will scale the logo size up or down to fit the max height, while also keeping the proper aspect ratio. That prevents the logo from looking stretched or distorted. Your rectangular logo looks largest because the image was scaled up to fit the max height.

I hope that helps clear things up--let me know if you have other questions!

Hi Alistair,

I wanted to follow up on Alyssa's initial post to let you know that we just released another update for Rise.

This update includes the mentioned custom fonts feature: Personalize your Rise courses with custom fonts for headings and body text. Just upload your font files in the theme settings.

We recommend checking out our community post here for additional information as well as a video guide.

We hope you enjoy this new feature, and please let us know if you have any questions, either here or by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly. We're all happy to help!
