RISE - Glossary tab

Oct 18, 2018

Has there been given any thought to add a Glossary tab (or at least the functionality) in the upper right hand corner, for learners to access static content at any time?

I know a document can be attached at a specific point in a module, but how about like a Storyline Lightbox?

A Glossary function in Rise is something we are asked about a lot by our learners.

For a Glossary to be useful it needs to be accessible globally. That will allow the learner to stay on their current page and access the Glossary while also maintaining the context of the term in the current Lesson.

The other thread referred to mostly recommends different ways of creating a Glossary within a different Rise Lesson and that is not very useful.

Most learners would encounter an unfamiliar term while working through Lesson content. The proposed solutions would require the learner to leave the current lesson, navigate to the Glossary lesson and then find the term. After that is done, they need to navigate back to the previous Lesson and find the place where they left off. That is not a practicable solution.

A Glossary that is always available at Course level in a tab is a much more elegant solution.
