Rise in SuccessFactors LMS - does not start where user left off the course

Sep 12, 2018

Hello,

I was informed by two our colleagues who tried separately to upload the exported SCROM 1.2 Rise course to SuccessFactors, that the course does not open from the place the user has left off the course in the middle, compared to pure Storyline courses.
I remember I saw here some threads about that it actually should be possbile: Rise should "know" where to re-start itself.
Do you know how this issue can be resolved? Any special settings?
The export settings I use in Rise are as in the attached screenshot.

I followed those settings suggested in another thread in the community, because they were reported as ones that do not cause problem when uploading/running Rise on SF. Otherwise the course might not work.

Thank you very much!

And those in the attached screenshot are my Rise export settings - I saw somewhere here in the community that those allow seamles upload of Rise course into SuccessFactors, as we also had previously issues with that.
Where and how can I ensure that Rise restarts in SuccessFactors from the lesson it was left on? Thank you very much!

Hello Irina,

Is this happening to all of your users or just some of them? It sounds like it may just be a few, so I'm curious if that's happening in a particular environment or browser?

If it's just a few, I wouldn't think that they are reaching the suspend data limits.

I see another community member that shared their experience here as well.

It happened to all the Team members who have uploaded the content, and the content was exported from Rise in SCROM 1.2.
Then I was advised to use the SCORM 2004 Export Settings as someone from the team told me that this my overcome the problem, so I will test and then can say if it solves it. But the SCORM 1.2 makes this pProblem to everyone, if I now look at the thread you mentioned...

Hi Irina,

In the link that Leslie shared, Valentino was launching the course with the wrong file and that was attributed to the tracking/resuming issues. That shouldn't change if a course is published with SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004. The suspend data limits are what's restricted by the publish version, and that's set within the SCORM standard, not Rise.
