Rise offline

I don't believe there is an option to download it from the LMS, but you can insert a zip file on moodle for the user to download as described in the FAQ. This option will not track in the LMS.

The index file you image is the correct file (you have extension switched off in explorer, if you right click and file and choose properties under the details tab you can see the extension.

Phil is right on the money! You can give your learners access to the index.html file for offline viewing. Be sure to also include a note that offline viewing is supported in Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.

I don't have much LMS-specific experience, so hopefully another Moodle-user in the community can point you towards the correct Moodle option for making the index.html file available to your learners.

In that article downloading Rise is addressed. What if our learners use iPads , tablets - (no download and local file storage possible) - is it still possible to access Rise courses in offline mode somehow? 

Is it possible to download videos only? (If a learner views the course which has videos, and he would like to save only videos)

It may be that iOS 11 where users have access to files may be able to make this work, in iOS10 I don't think you could make this work, unless of course you convert to an app using phone app and either add to app store or side load it,

 Downloading the videos you could put a button below the video to download the video.

It would be useful if the Articulate App could support Rise content as well as Storyline and Studio content...or am I missing something?

Hi John.  It sounds like you're talking about the Articulate Mobile Player app.  Tell me more about why you'd like to see Rise content there.  Is it for the ability to download for offline viewing?

Yes Crystal....so that people could download some Rise content and have it available on their smartphones even when they don't have either data or wifi. Specifically for performance support content which is required at the point of need.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, you can give your learners access to the index.html file for offline viewing, but iOS devices don't have a way to load the course into the local storage of the device. I did see one community idea on how to load on an Android device, so it's worth checking that out.

That's the problem Alyssa....and that's why the app is really useful for certain applications!

Hi, was this ever resolved in the end? I'm new to Rise, and would like to know if and how Rise content can be hosted by the Articulate mobile app.

A Rise app, so users can download content offline, would be great! I am trying to create courses/interactive manuals for people to access in the field on their phone. The problem is, if they lose internet in the field, they can't use the content. It would be great to have a Rise app, so users could access the manuals and save them offline. I've been testing the iphone/chrome "save offline" features, but they don't really work for Rise. Keep me posted on this!

Uggg---trying to solve for this same issues. I LOVE rise. But we teach courses for our students onsite (with reliable internet) and off-site (where we have no control about the internet). In order to continue with Rise we would need to find a work around immediately.
