I am having an issue with the mobile adaptation in Rise. It is breaking up text in the middle of words when I use a statement block. I have tested the course on an actual mobile phone and it is definitely breaking the words up as it shows on the preview. I've attached a couple of images so you can see the problem.
Thanks for the images. I see that the word "Indicator" is split between two lines, and on the other image the word "counter" - you showcased this in Preview, but do you have a link to the course so that I could see how this looks on my mobile device as well? Does it only display this way in Preview for you?
Thanks for coming back to me. Can you give me your email address so that I can email the link to the course to you please? This is a complete commercial course which we do not want to share with the whole community at this time.
My colleague reviewed the course on her mobile - and the error appeared there - so the issue is not just in the preview.
Sure thing - you can send it to me here privately. I did see one other instance of this yesterday afternoon with a very very long word (in Danish I believe) so that has been reported to our QA team, but additional examples of it will help our team dig into the issue further.
Also, can you let me know what devices you've been using to view the content?
Thanks Vickie for the images - for the desktop browser you're seeing it in, do you know what browser and version you were using? That'll be information I'll want to get to our team as they dig into this issue.

I've developed a Rise module, when viewing it on my iPhone 7 it was fine, all text was showing but it was also viewed on an earlier iPhone model and we had a couple of glitches.
The first issue was the word 'clarification' which was a on tab. The 'n' went onto the line below the rest of the letters. The second issue was a sorting activity, all of the text on one of the cards didn't display, the last two or three words weren't showing until the card had been dragged to the correct target.
The text wrapping on the mobile displays is something we reported to our team recently, but your issue with the sorting activity not showing text at all sounds different and something we'd want to take a better look at. Are you able to share a copy of the Rise link with us and any screenshots of the behavior on your mobile devices too?
Thanks Kelly - I grabbed it and tested it out on my iPhone 6s with iOS10.2 and it all worked really well there! It looks like the iPhone 4 only went up to iOS 7.1.2, is that what you're running? Rise needs to be viewed in iOS8 or later in Safari per the requirements here. So it seems that some things are working for you - but not all, and I'd attribute that back to the iOS you've got. I heard iOS 8 works on iPhone 4...but with caution as it slowed a lot of people's systems down. So go down that path with caution...
Excuse to buy yourself a new toy?
If you are on iOS8, let me know and I'll see if I can rustle up someone with an older iPhone and iOS to give it a test!
The issue with words splitting and wrapping incorrectly on Statement blocks has been resolved. If you notice this anywhere else in your course, please let us know!

This issue appeared to be fixed for us but we have come across another incident where the text is breaking on mobile view. It's not the text breaking within the middle of a word but its forcing a word on to the next line making it look a little strange. I attach an image for your info.
The words "using machines" has been pushed to the bottom line when there is definitely enough room for the word "using" on the line above. I have double checked the course and there is no double space or anything like that. Please can you take a look?
The example is from an HTC Android but I have checked on my iPhone 4s and the same thing happens.
Thanks Alena - what's the iOS on your iPhone 4? I just checked the link on my iPhone 6s with iOS 10.2 and it all looked ok there.
I'd want to make sure you were using one of the supported iOS and browsers detailed here for Rise. I'll also have a coworker test on an Android device to see if they see the same oddity with the wrapping text.
Thanks Alena - and I know we've got two discussions going, but it seems to be the same type of issue and behavior, so I'm going to combine forces on these and keep the replies and information over in this one. You're right though, iOS 9 is supported, so it should be working there.
I still often have this problem in my Rise courses: Depending on the size of the window, the word in seperate in weird placed.
I created an example with two problem: the word "Führungsinstrumente" in the titel is split when the menue is open. Ans the words in the matching tasks split too.
Sorry you're seeing strange word separation – I know that's not ideal. There isn't a way to control the line break, but if we make improvements here, we'll let you know!

Hi Ashley
I've just uploaded the link to you privately. My colleague was viewing the course on an HTC android phone.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks Alena - I'll grab the link there and respond as a part of your Support case.
I had the same problem and the text was breaking in all preview modes.
It breaks differently in Desktop mode, but it still breaks.

I'm hoping you can help me as well.

Any ideas as to what's causing this?
Thanks.

Hi Ashley
I've attached a picture of the sorting activity that was viewed on an iPhone 4. The following text should be displayed:
Looking in a different direction to the speaker.
I'll email you the Rise link privately.

Thanks Ashley. It works great on my iPhone with no issues but a colleague used it on theirs and that's when we hit the problem.
Thanks for reminding me of the requirements, I'll certainly keep those mind.
No problem Kelly and happy to help - let us know if you need anything else!
