Any obvious pros and cons around whether to use a video block versus a multimedia block with video in Rise?
Only thing I can think of is that the multimedia block allows you to choose your video display size and you can customise your text layout with further blocks around it rather than using the rigid video block template. Then again, if all you want to do is give a brief description and whack in a video, the video block is ideal!
I've just duplicated a course as I'm building a series that will all follow the same structure. In the copied course, I can't edit the video to swap it out for a different file. I have to create a new video lesson. Which seems to defeat the point of copying the course for the sake of not having to rebuild the structure each time.
I tested this on a few courses I had with Video lessons and a Video in a Block. Both of those I was able to duplicate and then edit the lesson and change the video. Can you take a Peek of the problem? You can include the "Share" link here in your reply!
That way I can test using the same method or steps you're using.
Thanks for the reply, Ashley. I'm still getting used to Rise and am having to do a lot of learning by doing rather than reading the user guides so it turns out I was just being very short-sighted! I didn't spot the 'remove' button as I was looking for an edit button like you get in blocks so that I could "change" the file rather than remove it. Problem solved!

I haven't found any other benefits. We have created both ways.
