I need the Search function as well. I"m also needing Review with Rise. I am co-authoring a course and the hours we are spending making sure we "are on the same page" and that the correct changes are being made is time we could be spending on the course.
Along that line, I would also like to be able to add an additional author. As it is set up now, I just have to remove my name and have it blank (it isn't right just showing my name as the author).
We'll keep you posted on Rise with Review - as it should be available soon.
I'll also submit a feature request on your behalf for listing multiple authors. We do have a Collaborators feature on the horizon too - so that you could edit a course with another 360 Teams member, and being able to list multiple authors sounds like a neat addition to that!
Oh no! I'm sorry you've been waiting for this to deploy your courses - it's on our roadmap as we see the value in the feature, but it's something we're not ready to set an ETA around.
I know it's hard to wait, but once we do have any information on that we'll update discussions such as this one. As long as you're subscribed (check the top of this discussion) you should get that notice via email.
Just gonna go ahead and +1 this. I think it would be super handy on the student side if they are looking to go back to a particular topic in a long course, and it would be very helpful on the admin side to be able to quickly find areas that students might find errors in, or for yearly updates when we have to say update the year and it then we could easily pick out all instances of a term, etc.
I don't have a date for the next release of Rise - but features and fixes are pushed out as soon as they're ready! The Rise Version history is updated once an update is pushed out, and we'll also highlight features on our “What’s New” page!
Please add the search feature. It will greatly improve usability. We want to encourage users to go back to lessons to find details they may have forgotten, but without the ability to search, there is no easy way to find those details.
Thanks Betty for reaching out! It's on our team's list - so once we have more info to share on when this feature would be available we'll let you know!
Thought I would also chime in. We would love a search feature because we are building a digital one-stop shop of information for a broad topic using Rise. The section headers are nice for a table of contents, but with the amount of information, our users will definitely want to search key words to navigate.
Definitely want a Search feature in Rise. Everything else so far has been great, but the search would just put this tool over the top!
When our company was developing an HTML5 tool a few years ago, the search function was near the top of the list and was very effective used by our testers. That way they could find material in a larger course quickly, when needed to access required info while out at remote sites, during both information requests, and for immediate response situations, looking up the course info on a mobile device.
Adam thanks for the update - now, this is exciting!
What about hyperlinking any text in to jump to any section/pages within Rise? I know there’s a lot of us who have express a need for this feature as well...I realize the buttons interactivity is a way around this however it’s not as intuitive.
Fantastic news! Thanks for taking our request on board.
Once the search function is released, will we be able to retrospectively apply it to courses we've already built - by publishing them again in a new version from Rise?

A search function within Rise that's similar to the one that's available in Engage 360 would be fantastic.
...our courses have not launched because we're waiting on the "Search" feature!
Will searchable keyword results be highlighted in "yellow" upon look up?

Any idea when we can expect the next Rise update release that may or may not include new features?

Thanks Haley and Marinko for chiming in - really good feedback and use cases for how this feature would benefit your work.
I'd like to add my hat to the search request :0)
You're in the right place Christine :) Thank you.
Yes, I agree. I have just removed a large project from Rise as the search function doesn't look to be arriving soon.
Same here - I have several projects on hold/in the cue because Rise doesn’t support search. I’m researching and finding other solutions...
Thanks for all the enthusiasm for the search feature. We're in development of this feature and it will be available within 90 days.

Yes Jim, you will.
Really looking forward to that. Thank you.
