Storyline Blocks in Rise

Dec 07, 2017

Hi!

I am using Storyline blocks in a Rise course, and I was wondering if it's somehow possible to have the option to maximize the block, like if it were a Youtube video. I know you can choose the size of the block when editing, but I would like the video to be in small size and give the user the possibility to make it full screen.

Thanks!

Hi there!

For now, you have the option to set the size of the Storyline block to Small, Medium, or Full Width. It sounds like you'd also like to see an option that allows users to click the block and view the content fullscreen. That's a neat idea, and it would make an excellent feature request! I'll pass that idea along to my team for you. 🌟

I see there are three settings of the Storyline block in Rise, small, medium and large. Is there a way to change the color of the background of the block or is there a way to decrease the height of the block?

If the answer is no to both of these, can you tell me in pixels, what are the height measurements of those three existing options?

Thank you

Thanks for that screenshot, LaVon! That helped me to better understand what you're seeing.

The dark gray area around the slide is the Modern Player. The player will display as either dark gray or white, depending on the theme you choose

While there isn't a way to make the player disappear completely, our team is looking at how we can improve this so that the slide sits seamlessly inside the Rise blocks lesson.

We'll keep you posted on our progress!

My problem with Storyline block in Rise, is that on a phone, it acts like a movie and opens the block in another browser window. Then I have to close the browser window and when it returns to Rise, the lesson goes back to the top of the lesson and you have to scroll down to find where you were when you played the Storyline block. Is there a way to change this?

Plus, while on a desktop the Storyline block is the same size as the other blocks (text size) but on a phone it is too tiny to read.
