Switching section order within a lesson in Rise

Sep 10, 2018

Ashley, I have a course developed in Rise. The SME request is to switch a lesson from its current position to just before the lesson ahead. In other words, the order currently is:

The Right People for the Right Job
Motivators and Demotivators
Active Listening
Behavioral Interview Questions

Now the SME wants them changed around to:

The Right People for the Right Job
Active Listening
Motivators and Demotivators
Behavioral Interview Questions

I did that but now they do not link correctly. How do I reestablish a correct link to the next block? I tried deleting the "Continue" and reinserting a new one but the automatically generated link to the next lesson does not appear. How do I fix this?

Hello, LaVon!

It sounds like you changed the order of the lessons in the Rise main menu, and now you need to adjust the links to the next lesson.

The Continue Block will always go to the next lesson, since there isn't a way to link it to any other lesson.

From your description, it sounds like there may be a Button Block at the bottom of each lesson. To change the lesson linked to that button, click Edit, then select the lesson in the Destination dropdown menu

Hello Ashley, LaVon,

I have a similar question. I inserted Continue-blocks in my chapters, but when I preview and click on the Continue button, I am not automatically directed to the next chapter. In fact, I'm stuck, because I switched off the previous and next buttons. So I can't continue to the next chapter.

Deleting and inserting new continue blocks does not help. What can I do?

Thanks,

Renzo
