Hi! I am having a hard time finding information on the types of videos available to upload in Rise. I am looking at a video software and want to make sure before we get it that I can put it in our Rise courses.
I know you can upload .mp4 videos to Rise, but can you upload .MOV , AVI , or .WMV files as well?
Can I use a video from Content Library? I know I can put it into a SL360 course, publish and then insert as a SL block. Wondering if there is a quicker way? And when will the entire Content Library be available when I'm creating a Rise course?
Hi, current issue with importing AVIs I think. I imported AVI videos and Storyline corrupted my file. I converted the AVI to MP4 using Adobe Media Encoder and reimported into a backup version of the Storyline file and it didn't corrupt. Cheers.
It sounds like you tried importing a video file into Storyline 360, and your Storyline file was corrupted. So sorry that happened!
Storyline should convert AVI files to MP4, so you shouldn't have to use an outside tool to do that. We'd be happy to have a closer look at the video file, if you don't mind sharing it here. We'll delete it when we're done testing.
Does RISE convert the bigger movie files formats to make them smaller upon import or should I just do that via Media Encoder prior to uploading into RISE?
I am trying to insert a MP4 file into RISE with a file size of 15,638,160 bytes. I have inserted other MP4 files into RISE without any issues. But I get the message that it could not be loaded because the format is not supported or the server /network failed. I have a very strong internet connection.
Hi there, Susan. That doesn't exceed our 5 GB limit. If refreshing your page, or trying in a private browser window doesn't help, can you privately share the mp4 file with us? We'll delete it when we're done troubleshooting!
Thanks - I tried refreshing the page and viewing it in a different browser. That did not work; however,I re-recorded my file, and it uploaded fine. Go figure! Thank you, anyway; I love RISE by the way
Hello Dominic! Did you publish a Storyline 360 course to Review 360? If so, you can use a Storyline block to add that interaction to your Rise 360 course. Here's how.
If that's not quite right, let me know which app you used to build your short course, and we'll go from there!
Thanks for the reply but I cant seem to get it to work. I have published the course to review 360, and I can see it there. But when I go to add the Storyline Block, it says I have not published any courses yet.
Can you let me know I can resolve this please?
Cheers,
Dominic

Unfortunately, it is still not working for me. I have attached two screen shots which show the course in Review and the screen shot when I try to link to it in Rise.

Hi there, Dominic. When you reply via email, your attachments don't come through. Can you attach your screenshots in the discussion here? If you'd like to keep it private, you can start a case with our team here instead.
Thanks for the reply. I have attached the images. As stated earlier, I have published a course, logged in with the same email but cannot see it in RISE to import it.
That was really helpful, Dominic! I can see from your Review 360 dashboard that you published Presenter 360 courses using a PowerPoint presentation. We'll actually need to import those presentations into Storyline 360 to use them in your Rise 360 course. Here's how:
Open Storyline 360, and choose to Import. You can choose this presentation from your saved files. Tip: You may need to adjust your slide size in Storyline to make sure it matches your PowerPoint slide size.
Preview your presentation in Storyline to make sure it still looks the way you want.

Hi - I'm experiencing issues trying to add a .mov file 575MB in size. I'm receiving the attached error message. I've tried to add/remove multiple times and keep getting the same error. Help! :)
Hi there, Sarah. Typically, deleting the block and adding a new video block for that file will solve the issue. If it's still not working, please privately share your video file with us by clicking here. We'll work you to get it up and running!
I tried all the suggestions above to upload a 1.9GB .MOV file and got the error message every way I tried it. Then I saved the same video as .m4v and it uploaded and played right away. Rise definitely doesn't support .MOV or it's buggy.
Hi, Jeannie. I'm glad you got it working. Rise 360 should support virtually any video file type, and we're happy to take a look at an example file that didn't work, if that would be helpful. You can privately share it with us by clicking here!

Rise handles all of those standard video files.
Thank you!

Hi There,
I just uploaded a short course into my own online articulate drive but now I want to use it in a RISE course. How can I do this?

Hi Dominic,
It sounds like you may be logged in to your Articulate 360 desktop app and the web apps with two different email addresses.
Let's try this:
Let me know how it goes!
