URGENT!!! Need help with RISE!

Dec 03, 2018

Hi there! :) I need some help with RISE.

I have to build a QUIZ that must follow some particular rules.

  1. Quoting the original instructions from my customer: "You might reply correctly to proceed or, after 3 wrong attempts, you get the correct answers and you can proceed". They do not want to see the wrong answers togheter with the correct one. Is this possibile to be made?
  2. I also need to manage results in a customized way. For ex. they need a trigger to give 100 points giving the correct answer at the first time; 75 points... at the second time; 50 points... at the third time. Is this possible to make it into Rise, in some way...?
  3. Linked to point number 2, can I insert some Javascript in the Rise Project to solve that problem? Don't know... maybe importing a slide from Storyline........ :?

May you please answer me by today or tomorrow? Because I need to re-contact my customer and give him an answer about what can be made and what can not.

Thank you so much for helping me. :) Bye!

I think part 1 it is possible by playing with conditions, and layers showing the right -or wrong- results on third attempt. For example, a numeric conditional named "See results" that starts with value 0. Every time you press the "continue" button, it adds 1 point, and when you press "Continue" and the value for "See results" is equal or higher than three, it displays a hidden layer with the right answers.

Second and third seem pretty specific and refers to the LMS results. If I were you, I would just create a web object and embed it in a slide, and manage evaluation from outside.

Hope it helps!

Yes, it helps, thank you so much. :) As I suspected, it is not possible to do everything. The only way is embeding external code or html. Ok, thank you again for the answer. ;)

Hi Enrico,

Thanks for your question!

You can set a Passing Score for your Quiz and require that learners meet that passing score to advance to the next lesson in your course.

You can also set and determine how many times a learner can attempt to pass your quiz.

Learn more about Quiz Settings here.

In terms of the other needs you mention here, right now, these aren’t something we offer in Rise. However, we would love to hear more about how these features would improve authoring in Rise for you if you’re up for logging a feature request.

If I can help with anything else please let me know.
