I am trying to put my project on the Intranet for my organization. When I put it on the Intranet the screen recordings do not work at all.
I have tried running the program from both the our internal drive and the web server and neither work. I have tried publishing the project both by Web Document and CD.
If anyone has any ideas that would be great. My articulate projects need to be able to run off the intranet and be accessible to all employees. Also, a minimal amount of employees have Articulate software on their computers.
If you're sharing the published output, no one else would need to have the Articulate software - but can you confirm that they'll meet these other viewing requirements? You'll want to make sure that when you're testing it, you're not viewing it locally. If you view published Storyline content on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail. Julia, I also tend to publish as "Web", and post the output locally on the intranet for folks to review. All slides would work fine until one came along that had screen recording on it. Nothing would happen on those slides. We found here that it was a simple setting on our intranet web server (the IIS service). Here is the info for your IT folks, real easy fix:

If MP4 videos do not display when your Articulate content is hosted on a server, it's likely that the server is not configured to play these files.
Some servers do not have an associated MIME type to support MP4 files. To correct this issue, add an MP4 MIME type to your server. Here's how:
1.Right-click the site in IIS and select Properties.
2.Select the HTTP Headers Tab.
3.Select File Types.
4.Under the MIME Map section, select New Type.
5.Type ".mp4" as the associated extension and "video/mpeg" as the content type.
6.Click OK.
Your MP4 movies should now play when viewed from the server. If you use a hosting company to host your files, it's best to check with them about adding MP4 as a supported MIME type.
