Storyline Review Results Issue

Hi everyone,

I'm running into an issue that I hope someone can help me figure out.

I have a Storyline module with a graded quiz. For the learners who pass the quiz, I added a Review Results button to the Success layer.

As part of my QA, I took the quiz, passed at 100%, and clicked the Review Results button. When I review the results, here is what I see:

1. The answers I selected are no longer showing as selected in the radio button.

2. The answer review bar at the bottom says "Incorrect" even though the answer is actually correct.

I went through all of the review slides and they all show the same issue even though I got 100%.

Attached are some screenshots. If you have seen this before and have any suggestions, I would appreciate your help.

Hi Grace and Kartik,

Can you check the quiz questions properties and see if the Revisit option is set to Resume Save state? If it's not, that may be the "bug."

You can access a slide's properties by clicking the little gear icon near the bottom right of the screen (see red circle callout in screenshot).

When the Slide Properties dialog box opens, click the When revisiting drop-down.

Many thanks for responding! I followed your suggestion to check the quiz question properties and you were right.

I know this fix works if you just want to review, but here's the issue for us: some of the Results slides from the content library have 3 buttons: Review, Print, Retry. Great! Just what we want. BUT, when tested, Print does not work, and Review and Retry seem to have conflicting variables attached to them, i.e., to review your results you need to set each question screen to "Resume Saved State," but to reset, it needs to be "Reset to initial state." That's my theory, anyway.

If I'm missing something in the settings, please let me know.

Hey Linda - Sorry to hear that you are having difficulty with this.

We have an article here with some common reasons 'Print Results' may not be working for you.

As far as your slide properties - you should be able to leave the default of 'Automatically Decide' so that the features will work as intended.

If you need us to take a look, please share your .story file.

Hi now your response works when reviewing responses. But then if I change slide properties to Saved state, when the user is Retrying the quiz, the quiz does not reset. Please advise.

Hi there, Doyal. Make sure when you go to retake the quiz, you have a trigger to reset the results. Even if your slide properties are to resume the saved state, the questions should reset with that trigger.
